Laurel County, KY - Sheriff John Root is reporting that Detective Jason Back and Detective James Sizemore arrested three individuals on Thursday night November 26, 2015 at approximately 11:11 PM.
The arrests occurred after detectives spotted individuals in a vehicle on Main Street in London that were wanted on numerous outstanding warrants of arrest and wanted for questioning on multiple ongoing investigations.
Arrested was:
1. Douglas Hacker age 24 of West Carter street , London charged with trafficking in a controlled substance – first-degree – second offense – methamphetamine, possession of drug paraphernalia, and resisting arrest – this subject was in a vehicle and in possession of two bags of crystal methamphetamine and numerous used needles.
In addition, this subject was charged on a Laurel County bench warrant of arrest charging failure to appear in court regarding a charge of prescription controlled substances not in proper container first offense. This subject was also charged on a Laurel County warrant of arrest charging criminal possession of a forged instrument – second-degree – allegedly this subject stole a checkbook and forged several checks to numerous businesses in Laurel County - the checks included a $200 check, a check for $120, a check for $120, a check for $200, a check for $150 and two checks for $100.
2. Liza Godfrey age 22 of Perry Lane, London charged with trafficking in a controlled substance – first-degree – first offense – methamphetamine and possession of drug paraphernalia.
In addition, this subject was charged on a Laurel County bench warrant of arrest for failure to report to pretrial services to sign up for MCR program regarding a charge of theft by unlawful taking.
3. Gareth Brock age 32 of River Bend Road, London charged with trafficking in a controlled substance – first-degree – first offense – methamphetamine and possession of drug paraphernalia.
All 3 subjects stated the drugs did not belong to them.
All three subjects were lodged in the Laurel County Detention Center.
