Home Invasion in Knox County - Kentucky State Police asking public for assistance

(Gray, Ky.) – On November 30, 2015 at approximately 4:00 a.m. Kentucky State Police, Post 10 Harlan received a call about a home invasion off of Ky 1232 in the Gray community of Knox County. Det. Jake Wilson and Tpr. Wayne Hensley responded to the residence and began an investigation.

Preliminary investigation indicates that at approximately 3:00 a.m. two unknown male individuals kicked the door in at a residence and began assaulting the 45 year old home owner. The home owner was then held at gun point and bound down with duct tape and cords.

The two individuals stole a firearm, TV, phone, and several other items from the residence before leaving. Approximately one hour later the victim was able to free himself and run to a neighbor’s house to call 911.

The homeowner was transported to Baptist Health in Corbin for minor injuries. He was released shortly later. No one else was inside the residence at the time of the break in.
