Laurel County, KY - Sheriff John Root is reporting that Deputy Josh Scott arrested two individuals on Wednesday afternoon, December 2, 2015, at approximately 12:47 PM, at Walmart near Corbin in southern Laurel County after Walmart's loss prevention team detained the two individuals.
When Deputy Scott arrived at the scene and conducted an investigation, he learned that two individuals had allegedly been observed attempting to leave the store with unpaid merchandise. Total value of the theft was $129.
Arrested was: Shannon Saylor, age 35, of Bethel Hill Rd., East Bernstadt, and Annette Alexander, age 48, of Mt Moriah Rd., London. Both charged with theft by unlawful taking – shoplifting and were lodged in the Laurel County Detention Center.
