KSP Charges Pulaski Co. Man With Crimes Related To Child Sexual Exploitation

(Somerset, Ky.)— A Pulaski County man was arrested on charges related to child sexual exploitation Thursday after Kentucky State Police served a search warrant at his home.

Daniel I. Jarrin, 21, is charged with six counts of distribution and one count of possession of matter portraying a sex performance by a minor. Each charge is a Class-D felony, punishable from one to five years in prison.

Jarrin was arrested as the result of an undercover Internet Crimes Against Children investigation. Detectives with the KSP Electronic Crime Branch began the investigation after observing Jarrin sharing images of child sexual exploitation online, including images of prepubescent children engaged in sexual acts.

The investigation resulted in the execution of a search warrant at Jarrin’s residence in Somerset on Thursday, December 10, 2015, by the KSP Electronic Crime Branch. Troopers from Post 11-London assisted on scene. Equipment used to facilitate the crime was seized and taken to KSP’s Forensic Laboratory for examination.

Jarrin was lodged in the Pulaski County Detention Center.
