Laurel County, Ky. - Sheriff John Root is reporting that Sgt. Robbie Grimes arrested Michael Britton age 41 of N. Kentucky Ave., Corbin on Thursday afternoon December 10, 2015 at approximately 4:36 PM.
The arrest occurred at a motel off Ky 770, approximately 10 miles south of London after Sgt. Grimes was called to investigate a theft that had occurred there.
When Sgt. Grimes arrived at scene and conducted an investigation he learned that a third party had paid for a motel room for this subject to stay in to give him somewhere to stay, and while there this subject allegedly unlawfully removed a flat screen TV valued at $250 from the room.
Michael Britton was charged with Theft by Unlawful Taking and was lodged in the Laurel County Detention Center.
