LONDON, KY - Laurel County Sheriff John Root is reporting that: Laurel Sheriff's Deputy Matt Walker along with Deputy Adam Napier arrested Mariah E. Hall, age 43, of Manchester, KY on Thursday night July 10, 2025 at approximately 11:11 PM.
The arrest occurred on E. Laurel Rd. (Hwy 80), approximately 11 miles east of London at a traffic safety checkpoint after deputies noted observing two juveniles (toddlers) ages one and three not properly restrained in their car seats in a red Oldsmobile Alero. Deputies then determined that the driver was operating her vehicle on a DUI suspended license and had an outstanding warrant.
During the investigation the driver was determined to be under the influence and told deputies she had smoked methamphetamine approximately 45 minutes prior to the traffic stop. Deputies found the driver in possession of:
- Suspected methamphetamine
- A pipe with residue
- Xanax
- A marijuana cigarette
Also, a THC pin was located in the car seat of the three-year-old toddler.
Maria Hall was charged with:
- Operating a motor vehicle under under the influence – second offense
- Two counts of endangering the welfare of a minor
- Driving on a DUI suspended license – first offense
- Possession of a controlled substance – first-degree – first offense – methamphetamine
- Possession of a controlled substance – third-degree
- Prescription controlled substances not in proper container – first offense
In addition, this subject was charged on a Bell District Court bench warrant of arrest charging failure to appear in court on charges of:
- Operating a motor vehicle under the influence – first offense
- Possession of drug paraphernalia
This individual was lodged in the Laurel County Correctional Center.
