DUI crash on Lily Road in Laurel County

Laurel County, KY - Sheriff John Root is reporting that Deputy Kyle Gray along with Sgt. Robbie Grimes investigated a single vehicle injury traffic crash which occurred on Lily Road, approximately 5 miles south of London on Tuesday afternoon, January 5, 2016, at approximately 3:30 PM.

The investigating deputies report that apparently, a gold colored Chevrolet Tahoe traveling on the wrong side of the road had lost control and ran off the right side of the road overturning on its side, coming to rest in the ditch there.

Deputies determined during their investigation that apparently the driver was under the influence --she stated that she had smoked some marijuana late the night before and earlier the next day.

The driver was transported to St. Joseph Hospital London by Ambulance Inc. of Laurel County, and following treatment for minor injuries was arrested and is identified as Christina Conley, age 30, of Palmer St., Corbin, charged with operating a motor vehicle under the influence – first offense; careless driving; operating on suspended or revoked operators license; failure of owner to maintain required insurance – second offense; failure to wear seatbelts; and other traffic violations and was lodged in the Laurel County Detention Center.

Assisting at the scene was: Ambulance Inc. of Laurel County, London Laurel Rescue Squad, and Lily Volunteer Fire Dept.
