Car break-ins continue to plague Laurel County

Laurel County, KY - Sheriff John Root is reporting that Deputy Kyle Gray is conducting a theft and vandalism complaint which occurred in three different locations on Thursday night, January 13, 2016, between 6:15 PM and 7:03 PM.

The investigating deputy reports that a vehicle was broken into at McVay's Tanning parking lot located on U.S. 25 approximately 9 miles south of London.

Then, a vehicle was broken into at Hillcrest Nursing Home parking lot located on American Greeting Card Road approximately 10 miles south of London.

A short time later, two vehicles were broken into in the parking lot of Cracker Barrel restaurant located on Adams Road approximately 10 miles south of London.

A total of four vehicles were broken into apparently by two subjects driving a blue Chevy Van. These individuals broke out the windows on the vehicles stealing purses and in one theft, stole two electric guitars and an amp.

The blue Chevy Van was seen in the vicinity of all three thefts and the two male subjects that apparently committed the thefts took only three minutes at Cracker Barrel restaurant to break into two vehicles. These thefts may be related to some other area thefts occurring in Whitley County.
