Woman removed from a bus in Laurel County & arrested


Laurel County, KY - Sheriff John Root is reporting that Sgt. Larry Parrott along with Deputy Tommy Houston arrested Tanji Hyde age 35 of Winston Salem, North Carolina early Wednesday morning January 27, 2016 at approximately 5:02 AM.

The arrest occurred on I– 75, approximately 4 miles south of London after deputies were dispatched to a complaint that this subject was on a Greyhound bus causing a disturbance and the bus driver wanted her removed.

When deputies arrived at the scene they learned through their investigation that this subject had allegedly been involved in an altercation with another passenger.

As this subject exited the bus she tripped and fell and deputies conducted an investigation on her determining that she was under the influence of alcohol.

This subject was charged with alcohol intoxication in a public place and disorderly conduct – second-degree and was lodged in the Laurel County Detention Center.
