Laurel County, KY - Sheriff John Root is reporting that Deputy Kyle Gray along with London police officer Justin Hopkins arrested Sandra Lynn Wagers age 51 of Delmas Gilliam Road, London on Saturday evening January 30, 2016 at approximately 5:30 PM.
The arrest occurred in the parking lot of a business off Hal Rogers Parkway, approximately 2 miles east of London after Deputy Gray was dispatched to a complaint that a yellow Chevrolet vehicle had allegedly ran Officer Hopkins off the roadway – Officer Hopkins was off-duty in his personal vehicle at the time.
Officer Hopkins called in the complaint and was out with the vehicle when Deputy Gray arrived and both officers conducted an investigation determining that this subject was under the influence.
Sandra Lynn Wagers was charged with operating a motor vehicle under the influence – second offense; careless driving; failure to produce insurance card; failure to wear seatbelts; possession of drug paraphernalia and other traffic violations.
This subject was found in possession of a syringe needle and a small round plate along with two bottles of pills.
Sandra Lynn Wagers was lodged in the Laurel County Detention Center.
