Theft by Unlawful Taking arrests in Laurel County

Laurel County, KY - Sheriff John Root is reporting that Deputy Kyle Gray arrested two individuals at Walmart near Corbin in southern Laurel County after Walmart's loss prevention team detained the two individuals on Saturday evening February 20, 2016 at approximately 5:50 P.M.

When Deputy Gray arrived at the scene and conducted an investigation he learned that these two individuals had allegedly been observed concealing store merchandise on their person – total value over $104. In addition, Deputy Gray found the two subjects in possession of a syringe and Suboxone strip which both individuals said belonged to the male subject's mother.

Arrested was:

Austin Blake Wagoner age 20 Of Barbourville Rd., London charged with theft by unlawful taking – shoplifting and two counts of possession of drug paraphernalia.

Rachel Michelle Eaton age 22 of Hopper Creek Rd., London charged with theft by unlawful taking – shoplifting and two counts of possession of drug paraphernalia.

The two individuals were lodged in the Laurel County Detention Center.
