Complaint leads MPD Officer Jeff Couch to three subjects inside the Beech Creek Recreational Center

Manchester, KY - On February 27, 2016 the Manchester Police Department is reporting that three people were arrested after being found inside of the Beech Creek Recreational Center by MPD Officer Jeff Couch.

Reportedly, Officer Jeff Couch had received a complaint of people inside of the recreational center without permission.

Upon arrival Officer Couch discovered:

  • Steven Best age 36
  • Shannon Shoemake
  • Shaun Caudill age 30

All of Beatyville, KY inside of the building and upon investigation Officer Couch discovered that the three individuals had gotten into the building and were allegedly using needles to shoot up drugs.

All three were arrested and charged with Criminal Trespassing and Public Intoxication and lodged in the Clay County Detention Center.

Note: According to available jail records, no one listed as Shannon Shoemake of Beatyville, KY was booked into the CCDC by MPD on February 27, 2016.

However: Shannon Renee Shoemaker age 32 of Beatyville, KY (same photo as shown on the Manchester Police Department's Facebook page) charged with Criminal Trespassing and Public Intoxication is listed as being booked into the facility at 10:45 AM by KSP Trooper M. Howell...ClayCoNews is 100% sure that Shannon Shoemake and Shannon Renee Shoemaker are one & the same but we are unsure as to if and why KSP Trooper M. Howell was involved as jail records indicate.
