LSO arrest intoxicated Clay County resident with a baby in the vehicle


Laurel County, KY - Sheriff John Root is reporting that on Monday night February 29, 2016 Sgt.Larry Parrott received a complaint that a male subject driving a maroon colored Chevrolet pickup was leaving St. Joseph Hospital London apparently extremely intoxicated with a baby in the vehicle.

Sgt. Parrott located the vehicle pulling out of the hospital parking lot and observed the vehicle weaving badly on the roadway and conducted a traffic stop and did an investigation on the driver determining that he was under the influence and placed him under arrest.

Arrested Monday night on Esquire Lane in London at approximately 11:28 PM. was: Wesley Wagers age 36 of Paces Creek Road, Manchester, KY.

The driver admitted to injecting Methamphetamine and taking Narco earlier. In addition, this subject's one-year-old son was in the front seat in a car seat that was not secured to the seat.

Wesley Wagers was charged with operating a motor vehicle under the influence – third offense, wanton endangerment – second-degree and failure to use child restraint device in vehicle.

Wesley Wagers was lodged in the Laurel County Detention Center.
