John Doe arrested in Laurel County

Laurel County, KY - Sheriff John Root is reporting that Sgt. Brett Reeves arrested a male subject off South Laurel Rd., approximately 4 miles south of London on Wednesday morning, March 9, 2016, at approximately 10:42 AM.

The arrest occurred after Sgt. Reeves was dispatched to a complaint that a male subject was putting objects in a mailbox at a business there. When Sgt. Reeves arrived at the scene, he located a male subject who refused to give any information about himself to deputies.  This subject then created a disturbance by cursing and threatening deputies.

A package left in the mailbox by this subject was addressed to Taylor Swift and contained a map of Kentucky, a cigarette lighter, flowers, and a flashlight.

This subject appeared to be under the influence and was arrested and charged with public intoxication – controlled substances; menacing; and disorderly conduct – second-degree.

This subject never gave officers his name or information and was lodged in the Laurel County Detention Center under the name John Doe.
