LONDON POLICE ARREST MAN AT THE SCENE OF A VACANT HOUSE FIRE

LONDON, KY — On Tuesday, March 15th London Police responded to a structure fire at 3:13 p.m. at 628 Meyers Baker Road and arrested a male subject of London.

Arrested was Frank J. Noe, 31.  Officer Jacob Bormann arrived at the vacant residence that was fully engulfed in flames and met Noe, who ran outside to escape the fire. Noe told police that he entered the vacant residence without permission some time that morning.

Once inside, he said he used his lighter to start a fire in a wooden drawer inside the home in order to “have a light.” Later Noe awoke and stated that he was surrounded by fire.

Noe had an existing warrant out for his arrest for theft by unlawful taking under $500 and contempt of court libel/slander resistance to order. Noe was arrested and charged with first-degree criminal mischief and third-degree criminal trespassing.

Assisting Ofc. Jacob Bormann was Capt. Darrel Kilburn, Lt. Matt Moore, Det. Sgt. Joe Smith, and Ofc. Jordan Hopkins. Emergency agencies present at the scene include the London City Fire Department, the London Laurel Rescue Squad, and Ambulance Inc. of Laurel County.
