Two search warrants and four jailed in Whitley County

Whitley County, KY - Sheriff Colan Harrell, acting Chief Deputy Tim Baker, Sergeant Kirk Mays and Detective Derek Eubanks executed search warrants in the Savoy and Saxton communities on Saturday, March 19, 2016.

The search warrants were obtained by Det. Eubanks following an investigation into the illegal sale of narcotics. During the searches, cash, marijuana, suboxone films and drug paraphernalia were found.

Crystal Rapier Harrell, 35, of R.D. Rains Road, was arrested and is charged with second-degree trafficking in a controlled substance, possession of marijuana, possession of a controlled substance and possession of a prescription controlled substance not in its original container.

Eugene Murray, 65, of the Saxton community, was arrested and charged with second-degree trafficking in a controlled substance.

Also arrested for second-degree trafficking in a controlled substance was Betty Murray.

In addition, Lisa N. Coffey, 50, was arrested and charged with second-degree trafficking in a controlled substance, possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.

All subjects where lodged in the Whitley County Detention Center.
