Laurel County, KY - Sheriff John Root is reporting a "Golden Alert" has been issued for a female subject reported missing to Laurel Sheriff's Sgt. Robbie Grimes.
This subject was last seen near L & N Credit Union on Cumberland Gap Parkway in southern Laurel County on March 17, 2016, at approximately 6 PM. This subject has medical conditions.
She is identified as Brenda Gail Smith, age 54, a white female, and is 5'5" tall, and weighs 350 pounds with a heavy build, green eyes and a light complexion, brown collar bone length hair. She was last seen wearing dark colored pants and a black jacket, carrying two backpacks, and two Walmart bags.
If anyone observes this missing individual, they are asked to call the Laurel County Sheriff's office at 606-864-6600 or 606-878-7000.
