Laurel County, KY - Sheriff John Root is reporting that: Deputy Brandon Broughton investigated a traffic crash which involved a pickup truck and a bicycle which occurred on Monday afternoon March 21, 2016.
The investigating deputy reports that apparently a seven-year-old boy who lives on East Pittsburgh Church Road approximately 1 mile north of London rode his bicycle out of his driveway into the roadway in front of the path of a 95 Nissan pickup driven by Randall Wyatt age 36 of East Bernstadt.
The pickup truck was unable to avoid collision, and the bicycle driver was ejected.
The seven-year-old boy was airlifted by PHI helicopter to UK Med Center for treatment of head injuries.
