alt

Laurel County, KY - Sheriff John Root is reporting that Sgt. Larry Parrott and Deputy Tommy Houston arrested a male subject of Pennington Ln., East Bernstadt, early Wednesday morning, March 30, 2016, at approximately 2:38 AM.

Arrested was Terry Roark, age 29.  The arrest occurred off Hershey Lane, approximately 1 mile north of London after deputies were dispatched to a complaint that a man had apparently observed three or four male subjects breaking into a house next to his.

When deputies arrived at the scene and conducted an investigation and a search, they determined that this crime had not occurred.  Also, it was determined that the complainant was under the influence admitting that he had taken Suboxone and had apparently made up the entire story because he had been involved in a fight with his girlfriend and just wanted the police there.  Terry Roark was charged with falsely reporting an incident and public intoxication – controlled substances.

In addition, deputies determined that the subject was wanted on numerous outstanding bench warrants of arrest. The subject was charged on a Laurel County bench warrant of arrest for failure to appear in court regarding charges of public intoxication – controlled substances, possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of marijuana.

Also, the subject was charged on a Laurel County bench warrant of arrest for failure to appear in court on a traffic charge and was charged on a third Laurel County bench warrant of arrest charging failure to appear in court regarding charges of operating a motor vehicle under the influence and operating on suspended or revoked operator's license.

Terry Roark was lodged in the Laurel County Detention Center. Photo attached is courtesy of the Laurel County Detention Center.
