Laurel County man accused of murdering twin brother


Laurel County, KY - LSO is reporting that an arrest has been made concerning a victim that was discovered deceased at a Robinson Creek Road residence on Tuesday, April 5th, 2016. 

Preliminary autopsy reports performed by the state medical examiner indicate that the manner of death of Anthony Johnson was homicide.

On Wednesday afternoon, April 6, 2016, at approximately 2:49 PM, Antonio Johnson age, 30, of Robinson Creek Rd., Corbin, was charged with murder – domestic violence.

Antonio Johnson is the twin brother of the victim - Anthony Johnson - found deceased with head trauma on Tuesday, April 5th, 2016, at their residence on Robinson Creek Road, approximately 10 miles south of London.

Detectives have recovered the suspected murder weapon - a hammer. A motive has not been established. Evidence recovered from the scene is being examined and will be sent to the state laboratory for analysis.

Antonio Johnson was lodged in the Laurel County Detention Center on Tuesday night on an unrelated outstanding warrant. Antonio Johnson remains lodged in the Laurel County detention facility with the additional charge of murder – domestic violence.
