Possible domestic dispute at Microtel Inn leads to arrest of London man


LONDON, KY — On Saturday, April 9th, London Laurel Co. Dispatch Center notified London Police of a possible domestic dispute at the Microtel Inn on KY-192.

London Police arrived at the Inn and immediately was greeted by an upset Justin S. Steeley, 20, of London and drugs laying out in plain sight within his room.

Steeley reportedly yelled at officers to come inside the room and as they entered, he began cursing at them. Beside Steeley on a night stand was a book of rolling papers and a baggy containing two pills.

The pills were identified as Xanax. Inside of a black container was marijuana along with a set of scales.

Steeley was arrested and charged with possession of marijuana, possession of a controlled substance, and buying or possessing drug paraphernalia.

He was lodged in the Laurel County Detention Center.
