DUI arrest at crash on KY 363


Laurel County, KY - Sheriff John Root is reporting that Deputy Kyle Gray along with Deputy Brandon Broughton arrested a male subject of Corn Cemetery Rd., London, on Sunday afternoon, April 10, 2016, at approximately 3:20 PM.

Arrested was John Q. Howard, age 40.  The arrest occurred on Keavy Road, approximately 4 miles south of London after deputies were dispatched to a complaint of a non-injury traffic crash involving a red colored Chevrolet Silverado there.

When deputies arrived at the scene, they detected the odor of alcoholic beverages emitting from the driver and conducted an investigation. The driver was determined to be under the influence.

In addition, deputies located open alcoholic beverage containers in the vehicle.

John Q. Howard was charged with operating a motor vehicle under the influence – first offense; careless driving; license to be in possession; possession of open alcoholic beverage container in motor vehicle prohibited; and other traffic violations.

This subject was lodged in the Laurel County Detention Center.
