Complaint of subject walking in roadway leads to arrest - Laurel County


Laurel County, KY - Sheriff John Root is reporting that Deputy Rick Cloyd arrested a male subject of Miller Rd., London, on Sunday afternoon, April 10, 2016, at approximately 4:45 PM.

Arrested was Randy Hale, age 42.  The arrest occurred on Keavy Road approximately 5 miles south of London after deputies received a complaint that a subject was walking in the roadway.

When deputies located this subject, they learned that he had allegedly fled from the scene of an earlier motor vehicle crash. An investigation was conducted and this subject was determined to be under the influence.

Randy Hale was charged with leaving the scene of an accident. In addition, Deputy Cloyd learned that the subject was wanted on a Kentucky parole violation warrant charging absconding parole supervision; failure to complete treatment for substance abuse; use of a controlled substance; and failure to report to parole officer as directed.

This subject was allegedly convicted of trafficking in a controlled substance – first-degree – second offense in Laurel Circuit Court.
