(Harrodsburg, KY) – The Kentucky State Police, Richmond Post, was notified by the Mercer County Sheriff’s Office just before 10:00 P.M. last night, after a deceased body was found off of Deep Creek Road, west of Harrodsburg in rural Mercer County.
The initial investigation indicates that Tristan Cole, 17 years old, of Harrodsburg was fatally shot and left at the scene before being found before 9:00 P.M. last night. Cole was pronounced deceased at the scene by the Mercer County Coroner, and has been taken to the State Medical Examiner’s Office for an autopsy.
The events that led to the shooting are under investigation and there have not been any arrests made.
