Laurel County, KY - Sheriff John Root is reporting that Sgt. Larry Perrett along with Deputy Tommy Houston arrested two individuals of Johnson Rd., London, early Thursday morning, April 28, 2016, at approximately 1:32 AM.
The arrest occurred off Morentown Road, approximately 1 mile north of London after deputies were dispatched to a domestic violence complaint there.
When deputies arrived at the scene, they learned that this subject had allegedly been involved in an altercation with his girlfriend and she had received a black eye during the fight. The two individuals were engaged in a fight at his mother's residence in the front yard. Deputies noted that the female victim had a visible blackeye.
Anthony Shepherd was charged with assault – 4th degree– domestic violence and was lodged in the Laurel County Detention Center.
Also arrested was Vanessa Wagers, age 19, of Johnson Rd., charged with assault 4th degree – domestic violence – this subject's boyfriend had red marks on his back and on his nose.
