Laurel County, KY - Sheriff John Root is reporting that: Deputy Shannon John along with Deputy Shawn Jackson arrested Candida Cody age 35 of Opey lane, London on Saturday night May 14, 2016 at approximately 11:44 PM.
The arrest occurred off Opey Lane, approximately 8 miles west of London after deputies were dispatched to a disturbance call involving an apparent intoxicated individual.
When deputies arrived at the scene this subject took off running around the house and when caught, was taken into custody following a brief struggle with deputies. This subject was found in possession of a small metal bottle containing suspected hydrocodone. This subject told deputies she had taken meth.
Candida Cody was charged with possession of a controlled substance – second degree; fleeing or evading police – second-degree – on foot; resisting arrest; and public intoxication – controlled substances and was lodged in the Laurel County Detention Center.
