What LSO deputies found at scene of domestic violence complaint

Laurel County, KY - Sheriff John Root is reporting that: Deputy Rick Cloyd and Deputy Keith Dinsmore arrested two individuals on South Stewart Rd., approximately 9 miles south London after being dispatched to a domestic violence complaint in the parking lot of Walmart in southern Laurel County on Friday afternoon May 20, 2016 at approximately 2:57 PM.

When deputies arrived at the scene they observed 2 subjects standing outside their car and doughnuts scattered everywhere.

Deputies conducted an investigation and found both individuals had outstanding warrants of arrest.

Arrested was:

Michael Smith age 48 Burkshire St., Corbin, found in possession of prescription tablets – Hydrocodone tablets filled on May 17, 2016 for 90 tablets – this subject only had 21 at the time of arrest. In addition this subject had Clonazepam tablets that were filled on May 17, 2016 for 60 tablets – this subject only had 13 at the time of arrest.

Smith was charged with trafficking in a controlled substance – first-degree – first offense; and trafficking in a controlled substance – third-degree – first offense, a Knox County Circuit Court indictment warrant of arrest charging manufacturing methamphetamine – first offense; unlawful possession of meth precursor – first offense; possession of a controlled substance – first-degree – first offense – methamphetamine, possession of drug paraphernalia, a Whitley County bench warrant of arrest charging failure to appear in Circuit Court on charges of possession of a controlled substance – first-degree – first offense – methamphetamine.

Tonya Mills age 42 of Salt Gum road, Scalf, KY - Charged on a Whitley County Circuit Court indictment warrant of arrest charging possession of a controlled substance – first-degree – first offense – methamphetamine, a Whitley County Circuit Court bench warrant of arrest for failure to appear in circuit court on charges of possession of a controlled substance – first-degree – first offense – methamphetamine,  a Knox County bench warrant of arrest for charges of failure to appear in court on charges of driving on DUI suspended license – first offense and operating a motor vehicle under the influence – third offense, a Knox County bench warrant of arrest for failure to appear in court on charges of operating a motor vehicle under the influence – second offense, a Knox County Circuit Court indictment warrant of arrest charging manufacturing methamphetamine – first offense; unlawful possession of meth precursor – first offense; possession of a controlled substance – first-degree – first offense – methamphetamine; and possession of drug paraphernalia.

These two individuals were lodged in the Laurel County Detention Center.
