Motorcycle fatality on KY 363 at KY 312 in southern Laurel County

Laurel County, KY - Sheriff John Root is reporting that: Deputy Shannon Jones along with Capt. Chuck Johnson (accident reconstructionist for the Sheriff's office) are investigating a two vehicle fatality traffic crash which occurred on Ky 363, approximately 10 miles south of London near Keavy grocery at approximately 9:28 PM Monday night May 30, 2016.

Investigating deputies report that apparently a white colored Dodge pickup traveling northbound on Ky 312 attempted a left turn into a business parking lot and turned in front of the path of a southbound Suzuki motorcycle (traveling southbound on a Ky 363). The two roads meet there. The motorcycle collided with the right rear of the pickup truck.

The Suzuki motorcycle was driven by Shawn H. Couch age 22 of East Laurel Rd., London was ejected sustaining fatal injuries and pronounced deceased at the scene by Laurel County Coroner Doug Bowling.

The white colored Dodge pick up was driven by Jesse Boswell age 37 of Upper Indian Camp Rd., London and a passenger, Tiffany Boswell age 35. No injuries were reported in this vehicle.

Deputies assisting at the scene included Sgt. Larry Parrott, Deputy Kyle Gray, Deputy Brandon Broughton, and Deputy Travis Napier.

Also assisting at the scene was Keavy Volunteer Fire Department and Ambulance Inc. of Laurel County.
