Two arrests after suspicious individuals observed by LSO walking down the roadway

Laurel County, KY - Sheriff John Root is reporting that: Detective Jason Back along with Sheriff John Root, Sgt. Brett Reeves, and Detective James Sizemore arrested two individuals – one on Riviera Lane and a second individual on Amelia drive, 2 miles west of London on Thursday afternoon June 2, 2016 at approximately 1:23 PM.

The arrests were the result of an investigation conducted by the Sheriff's office after two suspicious individuals were observed walking down the roadway on Riveria Lane– one of those being a male subject carrying a big screen TV.  The Sheriff and detectives and deputies determined that the television had been stolen at a burglary of a residence in the vicinity.  In addition, the male subject was also found in possession of a stolen iPod.

The male subject was also found in possession of oxycodone and Xanax and had previous convictions of felony offenses.

A female subject fled the scene on foot as Sheriff's deputies arrived on the scene and was located in a closet at a residence in the area.

Arrested was:

Dusty Lovett age 34 Of Riviera Ln., London charged with burglary – first-degree; possession of a controlled substance first-degree first offense; possession of a controlled substance third degree; and persistent felony offender I.

Lillian Minton age 43 of Ravenwood Estates, London charged with fleeing or evading police – second degree – on foot; public intoxication – controlled substances; and possession of a controlled substance – third-degree. This subject was found in possession of Xanax and was determined to be under the influence – this subject admitted to smoking crystal methamphetamine earlier in the day.

Stolen property including the huge flat screen TV was recovered. The two individuals were lodged in the Laurel County Detention Center.
