Memorial Day "Click it or Ticket " campaign concludes

Laurel County, KY - Laurel County Sheriff John Root reports that he and his deputies participated in the "Click it or Ticket " campaign designed to help save lives, and prevent serious injury in traffic crashes the past 2 weeks.

This effort included Memorial Day Weekend, which was the weekend of May 28th--- Laurel County Sheriff's Deputies were out in full force patrolling Laurel County roads, and also conducting Traffic Safety Checkpoints all over Laurel County in an attempt to make the roads safer for people and their families. The campaign ended on June 5th.

Although this huge law enforcement presence could have been intimidating, the Click It or Ticket campaign was not about writing tickets … It was about increased awareness and saving lives.

The Laurel County Sheriff's Office joined our partners in Laurel County, and in our surrounding counties, and worked together for this annual Click It or Ticket seat belt enforcement mobilization. Together we will continue our goal of making a difference!
