KSP Charges Scott Co. Man With Child Sexual Exploitation Offenses

GEORGETOWN, Ky. (June 10, 2016) -- On June 8, 2016, at approximately 8:00 p.m., the Kentucky State Police Electronic Crime Branch, assisted by Georgetown Police Department, arrested George M. Brock Jr., 40, on charges related to possession of matter portraying a sex performance by a minor and prohibited use of electronic communication system to procure a minor/police officer re: sex offenses.

Brock was arrested as the result of an undercover Internet Crimes Against Children investigation. The KSP Electronic Crime Branch began the investigation after discovering the suspect communicating with minors on a popular social networking website.

The investigation resulted in the execution of a search warrant at Brock’s residence in Georgetown on June 8, 2016. Equipment was seized and is pending a forensic examination.

Brock is currently charged with four counts of possession of matter portraying a sex performance by a minor and one count of prohibited use of electronic communication system to procure a minor/police officer re: sex offenses. Each charge is a Class-D felony punishable by one to five years in prison. Additional charges are expected.

Brock was lodged in the Scott County Detention Center.
