Police in Laurel County respond to a domestic dispute 3 times within two hours

Laurel County, KY - Sheriff John Root is reporting that: Detective Kevin Berry along with Capt. Chuck Johnson, Lieut. Greg Poynter, Sgt. Brett Reeves, Deputy Craig Sutton, and CSO Robert Reed arrested two individuals of Byble Road, approximately 6 miles south of London on Thursday afternoon June 9, 2016 at approximately 1:12 PM.

The arrest occurred off Byble road after deputies responded to a domestic dispute for the third time within a two hour time frame. Earlier deputies had been at the scene and advised both individuals to possibly separate until things cool down.

On this instance, deputies learned that the two individuals (husband-and-wife) had allegedly been fighting over pills and were outside causing a disturbance in the community there. Deputies determined that both individuals were intoxicated and admitted to taking Xanax, Suboxone, and Gabapentin.

In addition, deputies also learned that the female subject had an outstanding Laurel County bench warrant of arrest for an MCR violation

The two individuals arrested were identified as:

  • Michael Howard age 37 Of Byble Rd., London charged with assault – fourth degree – domestic violence; disorderly conduct – second degree; and public intoxication – controlled substances.
  • Angela Howard age 31 Of Byble Rd., London charged with assault – fourth degree – domestic violence; public intoxication – controlled substances; and disorderly conduct – second-degree. In addition, this subject was charged on a Laurel County bench warrant of arrest for an MCR violation regarding charges of operating a motor vehicle under the influence second offense, prescription controlled substances not in proper container – first offense and numerous other traffic violations.
  • The two individuals were lodged in the Laurel County Detention Center.
