Clay County man one of three subjects arrested with Oklahoma fugitive by LSO deputies

Laurel County, KY - Sheriff John Root is reporting that: Sgt. Larry Parrott along with Deputy Kyle Gray and Deputy Brandon Broughton arrested 4 individuals off Byble Road at Jonathan Court on Monday evening June 27, 2016 at approximately 6:27 PM.

The arrests occurred while deputies were attempting to locate a fugitive wanted by Oklahoma on charges of possession of a controlled dangerous substance.

Deputies developed information on a possible location of the Oklahoma fugitive and while conducting that investigation located three other individuals that were wanted on outstanding Kentucky warrants.

Deputies arrested:

  • Robert Leroy Brummitt age 54 of Grace Loop, Lily charging him with being a fugitive from Lincoln County, Oklahoma charged with failure to appear regarding a charge of possession of a controlled dangerous substance. In addition, this subject was charged on a Madison County, Kentucky bench warrant of arrest charging failure to appear in court on charges of alcohol intoxication and contempt of court. Additionally, this subject was charged on a Knox County bench warrant of arrest for failure to appear in court on charges of possession of a controlled substance – second-degree; prescription controlled substances not in proper container – first offense; and alcohol intoxication in a public place.
  • Three other persons were also arrested and are identified as:

  • Marty Dwayne Gray age 39 of Hooker Rd., Manchester charged with a Laurel County bench warrant of arrest charging failure to appear in court on numerous traffic violations.
  • Wendy Collins age 35 of Byble Rd., London charged on a Perry County bench warrant of arrest charging failure to complete community service regarding a charge of theft by unlawful taking – shoplifting.
  • Frankie Gray age 52 of Byble Rd., London charged on a Laurel County warrant of arrest charging terroristic threatening – third-degree – this subject allegedly was at the workplace of the victim and while there said he wanted to kill her and everyone in the office and allegedly put his finger in a trigger formation and put it under her chin simulating a gunshot.
  • All 4 individuals were lodged in the Laurel County Detention Center.
