What burglary suspect told arresting deputies


Laurel County, KY - Sheriff John Root is reporting that: Deputy Rick Cloyd along with Deputy Daniel Grigsby arrested Terry Baker age 45 of Barbourville Rd., London on Sunday evening July 10, 2016 at approximately 4:48 PM.

The arrest occurred on Lon Lane, approximately 2 miles south of London after deputies were dispatched to a burglary in progress and found this subject had been driving the getaway vehicle – a black Hyundai Sonata.

An investigation was conducted by deputies where they learned that this subject's partner fled the scene before deputies arrived. The subject that was caught at the scene was determined to be under the influence of some type of pain pills, Xanax, and advised he had shot up Roxies and smoked some marijuana and was taking it with tequila last night.

Terry Baker was charged with burglary – second degree; criminal mischief – first-degree; operating a motor vehicle under the influence – third offense in five years; and numerous other traffic violations and was lodged in the Laurel County Detention Center.
