Hangup call to Laurel 911 where dispatchers heard what appeared to be fighting in the background


Laurel County, KY - Sheriff John Root is reporting that: Deputy Tommy Houston along with Sgt. Larry Parrott arrested a Bulls Gap, Tennessee woman early Tuesday morning July 19, 2016 at approximately 2:38 AM.

Arrested was Destiny Osborne age 27 of Bulls Gap, Tennessee.

The arrest occurred on I-75, approximately 10 miles north of London after deputies were dispatched to a complaint that Laurel 911 dispatched had received a 911 hangup call where dispatchers heard what appeared to be fighting in the background.

Deputies located the suspect vehicle a silver colored Jeep patriot and conducted an investigation on its driver.

Deputies learned that the vehicle was occupied by this female driver another female subject and a male subject and that apparently the three had gotten into a verbal dispute over directions and the driver had allegedly pulled to the side of the shoulder of the roadway and attempted to kick the other two subjects out of her Jeep and in the process was slinging drinks and clothing out onto the shoulder of the road.

The driver was determined to be under the influence and admitted to shooting meth on the previous day.

Destiny Osborne was charged with operating a motor vehicle under the influence – first offense; failure to wear seat belts; careless driving; and numerous other traffic violations and was lodged in the Laurel County Detention Center.
