Laurel County, KY - Sheriff John Root is reporting that: Detective Kevin Berry is conducting a death investigation after the discovery of a body found floating in a pond off Locust Grove Road, approximately 9 miles west of London on Tuesday morning July 26, 2016 at approximately 10:30 AM.
When deputies arrived at the scene they learned that apparently a neighbor had discovered the body floating in the water and notified emergency services.
The victim has been identified as Lonnie Bores age not known of Locust Grove Rd., London.
London Laurel Rescue squad utilized a boat to assist in recovery of the body. Laurel County Coroner Doug Bowling pronounced the victim deceased at the scene. Cause of death has not been determined.
An investigation is continuing by Detective Kevin Berry.
Assisting at the scene was Ambulance Inc. of Laurel County.
