PHELPS, Ky. – In the late evening hours of Thursday, August 18, 2016, Post 9 Pikeville received a 911 call of a robbery at the Phelps Jo Mart in Pike County.
Troopers responded to the scene and determined that an unknown male entered the business armed with a firearm. The male brandished the weapon and demanded money. The clerk retrieved an undisclosed amount of cash, and gave it to the male before he fled the scene on foot.
The male was described as wearing a green hooded sweatshirt, dark colored pants, and a mask covering his face.
