Bonnieville, KY - The Kentucky State Police Post 3 Bowling Green received a call Sunday, October 2, 2016 at approx. 11:21 am where a male advised that someone poured gas on his relative and then set him on fire.
The incident allegedly occurred on Falling Springs Church Road in Hart County but the caller met responding personnel at the Huckleberry’s Market in Bonnieville with the victim.
When Troopers arrived on scene they found Roger Buckner (25) suffering from serious burns to most of his body. Buckner was transported by helicopter to the University of Louisville Hospital where he is listed in critical condition.
On Monday, October 3, 2016, Jason Kitzero (39) of Bonnieville was located in a wooded area off of Dennison Ferry Road and arrested on a warrant that was obtained in connection to this incident. He was lodged in the Hart County Jail where he was charged with Murder-(Attempted).
The investigation is still ongoing and being led by Trooper Daniel Priddy. No other information is available for release at this time.
