Gov. Beshear to Lead Kentucky Export Related Trade Mission to Canada

More than 20 Kentucky companies seek export opportunities with Canada. The trade mission, which runs from June 3 through June 7, will feature a reception to celebrate and help build business relationships between Kentucky and Canadian companies.

FRANKFORT, Ky. – Joined by nearly two dozen Kentucky companies and several trade partners, Governor Steve Beshear is set to lead an international business trade mission to Canada.

Walmart Foundation donates $20,500 to Trilogy Inc., Cumberland Hope Recovery Kentucky Centers

FRANKFORT, Ky.– First Lady Jane Beshear has joined substance abuse treatment advocates from across the state to announce a donation from the Walmart Foundation to benefit two Recovery Kentucky Centers. The Cumberland Hope Community Center for Women in Evarts will receive $10,500 from the Foundation and the Trilogy Center for Women in Hopkinsville will receive $10,000.

Attorney General Jack Conway, backed by 23 of his colleagues, is again calling on Urban Outfitters to stop selling pint glasses, shot glasses and flasks made to look like prescription pill bottles.

Six Die on Ky. Roadways over Memorial Day Holiday Weekend

(FRANKFORT, Ky.) – Preliminary statistics* indicate that six people died in six separate crashes on Kentucky's roadways during the official Memorial Day holiday period, which began at 6:00 p.m. on Friday, May 24 and ended at 11:59 p.m. on Monday, May 27.

Memorial Day Traffic Safety Checkpoints

Laurel  County, KY- Laurel County Sheriff John Root reports that he and his deputies support the "Click it or Ticket " campaign designed to help save lives, and prevent serious injury in traffic crashes. This past week, and especially this Memorial Day Weekend, Laurel County Sheriff's Deputies have been out in full force patrolling Laurel County roads, and also conducting Traffic Safety Checkpoints all over Laurel County in an attempt to make the roads safer for people and their families.
