Congressman Rogers welcomes new Southeastern Kentucky Field Representative

SOMERSET, KY -- U.S. Rep. Harold "Hal" Rogers (KY-05) welcomes Tamra Wilson, a long-time Pulaski County resident, as his new Field Representative in southeastern Kentucky. Wilson has 30 years of experience as an engineer with the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet, also serving as a specialist in broadband expansion. She will focus on ten counties, including Clay, Jackson, Knox, Laurel, Lincoln, McCreary, Pulaski, Rockcastle, Wayne and Whitley counties.

The Department of Justice Office of Public Affairs is reporting that a federal grand jury on Thursday, July 14, 2022 returned a 27-count indictment charging Payton Gendron, 19, of Conklin, New York, with 14 violations of the Matthew Shepard and James Byrd Jr. Hate Crimes Prevention Act (Shepard-Byrd Act) and 13 firearms offenses in connection with the mass shooting at the Tops grocery store on Jefferson Avenue in Buffalo, New York.
