Subject arrested for Theft & multiple other offenses at Cracker Barrel in southern Laurel County, Ky.

LONDON, KY - Laurel County Sheriff John Root is reporting that: Laurel Sheriff's Deputy Daniel Reed along with Deputy Brent France arrested Lyndsay Maxey age 36 of Corbin on Sunday afternoon September 6, 2020 at approximately 3:11 PM.

The arrest occurred at Cracker Barrel restaurant approximately 10 miles South of London after deputies were dispatched to a complaint of a female subject that appeared to be intoxicated that was allegedly observed taking items from the Cracker Barrel store and creating a disturbance there.

When deputies arrived at the scene they located the suspect in the parking lot and also located some of the stolen items.

An investigation was conducted and this subject was determined to be under the influence.

Deputies also recovered the following stolen items from the suspects possession:

  • A candle
  • A watch
  • Decorative magnets
  • Pieces of jewelry with tags still on the items

In addition, this subject was found with a clear pipe with white residue on it.

Lyndsay Maxey was charged with:

  • Theft by unlawful taking under $500
  • Disorderly conduct – second-degree
  • Public intoxication – controlled substances
  • Possession of drug paraphernalia related to Methamphetamine

This individual was lodged in the Laurel County Correctional Center.
