Dorothy Lunsford, age 72, entered her Heavenly home on October 10th, 2017 at her home surrounded by her family.
She was born in Dayton, OH on February 26th, 1945 to the union of John and Sylvania (Sams) Harris.
She is survived by her husband of 51 years, Donald Lunsford, and the following children: Missy (Dean) Cornett, Donald Wayne (Charity) Lunsford and John (Angie) Lunsford, all of Manchester.
She is also survived by the following grandchildren: Andrew (Lauren) Vaughn, Austin Vaughn, Matthew (Jessica) Lunsford, Jacob (Kash) Lunsford, J.D. Lunsford, Cassidy Hacker and Logan Hacker; the following great grandchildren: Emma Lunsford, Chloe Cornett and Baby Lunsford (gender unknown); and by two very special people she thought of as her own: Stephen Vaughn and Amanda Sester Grubb.
Also surviving are the following brother and sisters: Cindy Rickett, Ralph (Aretta) Harris, Raymond Harris, all of Manchester, Sherman (Sharon) Harris of London, KY, Ronnie (Judy) Harris of Vevay, IN, Leonard (Pauline) Harris of Connersville, IN, and Lois Harris of St. Leon, IN; and a host of other family and friends to mourn her passing.
She is preceded in death by her parents, John and Sylvania (Sams) Harris, and the following brothers and sister: R.J. Harris, Ishmael Harris, Kermit Harris, Colson Harris, Roscoe Harris and Della Mae Reed.
She was a memeber of the Birch Lick Baptist Church in McKee, KY.
Services will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, October 14th at Britton Funeral Home in Manchester, KY, with Harold Hays and Jeff Combs officiating. Burial will follow at the Hutchinson Cemetery on Harris Hollow Road.
Visitation will be held 6:00 PM on Friday, October 13th at Britton Funeral Home in Manchester, KY .
