Lois Knuckles, 93, of Manchester, KY, passed away Thursday, November 16th.
Lois was born in Goose Rock, KY on December 23, 1923, a daughter of the late Nannie (Smallwood) and Tip Smith.
Lois is preceded in death by her husband, Clinton Knuckles.
Lois is survived by her daughter, Kay Dowden and husband Robert of Manchester; her grandson, Nick Dowden; and her sisters: Curtiss Vickers of Frankfort and Louise Jean Swafford of Knoxville, TN.
In addition to her husband and parents, Lois is preceded in death by the following brothers and sisters: Aubrey Smith, Alva Stark (Buck) Smith, Bernice Moore and Dennis Smith.
Lois was baptized at the Manchester Christian Church. For 46 years, she devoted her service to the public education of the children of Clay County.
Services will be held at 12:00 PM on Monday, November 20th at Britton Funeral Home in Manchester, KY, with Steve Young officiating. Burial will follow at the Green Hill Memorial Gardens in Middlesboro, KY.
Visitation will be held 11:00 AM on Monday, November 20th at Britton Funeral Home in Manchester, KY
