L.C. Smith, 82, of Manchester, KY, passed away Monday, July 2nd, at the Hillcrest Health and Rehabilitation Center in Corbin.
L.C. was born in Ogle, KY on September 13, 1935, a son of the late Lucy (Swafford) and Lee Smith.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Frances (Mullins) Smith.
L.C. is survived by the following children: Judy (Glenn) Hoskins, Wonetta Hobbs, Geneva (Bill) Abner, Teresa (Mark) Ellis, Brenda (Jerry) Smith, Terry (Gerry) Smith,Mitchell Smith, Joe (Karen) Smith, and Larry (Angela) Smith.
L.C. is also survived by his sister, Norma Lipps, and by many grandchildren and great grandchildren.
In addition to his wife and parents, L.C. was preceded in death by his children: Charlotte Smith and Glenn Smith; the following brothers and sister: Mandy Smith, Roy Smith and Odie "Ed" Profit; and his brother-in-law, Don Lipps.
Services will be held at 2:00 PM on Saturday, July 7th at Britton Funeral Home in Manchester, KY, with Darrell Allen, Corwin Cain and Golden Smith, Jr. officiating. Burial will follow at the Heavenly Rest Cemetery on Greenbriar.
Visitation will be held 6:00 PM on Friday, July 6th at Britton Funeral Home in Manchester, KY.
