Robert Ray Collins, 68, of Manchester, KY, passed away Tuesday, July 17th, at the Hazard ARH Medical Center.
Robert was born in Red Bird, KY on July 7, 1950, a son of the late Vinney (Smith) and Henry K. Collins.
Robert is survived by his daughter, Teresa Napier, and his son, J. D. Napier, both of Manchester; and by the following stepchildren: Moe Smith, Marshall Smith, Larry Smith, Vernon Jr. Smith and Debra Swafford.
He is also survived by his brothers: Elmer Ray Collins of Garrard and Carlo Collins of Fishtrap; by 3 special nieces: Mackenzie Hatfield, Sharon Hatfield and Karen Lawson; a host of other nieces and nephews; and a host of grandchildren and step grandchildren.
Robert was preceded in death by his wife, Gladys Davidson Collins; his parents, Henry and Vinney Collins; and the following brothers and sisters: Roland Collins, G.B. Collins, Marie Frost, Betty Jean Collins, Myrtle Collins, Martha Collins and Aurie Couch.
Services will be held at 12:00 PM on Tuesday, July 24th at Big Creek Holiness Church in Big Creek, KY. Burial will follow at the Vernon Smith Cemetery on Rocky Branch.
Visitation will be held 6:00 PM on Monday, July 23rd at Big Creek Holiness Church in Big Creek, KY.
