Idell Mills Gray, age 91 departed this life on Saturday, November 17, 2018 at the Manchester Memorial Hospital. She was born on Sunday, January 16, 1927 in Manchester to Matt and Mitchell Hubbard Mills.
She was a member of the Hopewell Missionary Baptist Church and worked in food service for the Clay County Board of Education.
She leaves to mourn her passing her daughter: Geneva Gray Collins, her grandchildren: Marcilla Collins Jackson and husband Shawn and Dylan Collins, her great grandchildren: Hannah Jackson, Bella Jackson, Trevor Collins and his mother Misty Gilliam, the father of her children: J. C. Gray, her sisters: Nancy Johnson and Sarah Johnson and her caretaker: Pamela Henson and her sons: Devon and Willie Henson.
She is preceded in death by her parents: Matt and Mitchell Mills, her brothers: Boyd Mills, Tommy Mills and Jeni Mills and her sister: Dora Collins.
A celebration of life for Idell Mills Gray will be conducted on Wednesday, November 21, 2018 at 2 PM at the Rominger Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. George David Blair and Rev. Steve May will be presiding. She will be laid to rest in the Manchester Memorial Gardens.
The family will receive friends and family after 6 PM on Tuesday evening at the Rominger Funeral Home Chapel.
Arrangements are under the direction of the Rominger Funeral Home.
