Obituary for Clarence Taylor “Big C” Henley


Clarence Taylor “Big C” Henley, 57, loving husband of 32 years to Yvonne C. Pittman Henley, died Nov. 23, 2018 in Lexington, KY.

Born Oct. 22, 1961 in London, KY, he was the son of Shelby Keith Henley (Donald L.) Burks and the late Frank Henley, Jr., Mr. Henley was a 1979 graduate of Lafayette High School, and a 30 year owner/operator of Henley Welding and Iron Works in Lexington, KY. He was an active outdoorsman, a loyal supporter of Lexington Catholic High School, and was active in local youth baseball and football leagues.

Survivors other than his wife and mother include twin children, Lauren Nicole Henley and Taylor Monroe Pete Henley; two sisters, Rebecca Henley Settle and Joella Henley Glass; one brother, Frank Bryan (Kim) Henley; and numerous other family members.

In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his mother-in-law, Iva Dean Pittman. He was the grandson of the late Bryan and Helen S. Keith and the late Frank and Edith Henley.

Visitation will be 5-7 PM Thurs., Nov. 29 at Kerr Brothers Funeral Home, Harrodsburg Rd.

Funeral services and burial will be private.

In lieu of flowers, donations are suggested to The Clarence T. Henley Memorial Scholarship Fund at Lexington Catholic High School, 2250 Clays Mill Rd, Lexington, KY 40503.
