Marvin Smith, 82, of Manchester, KY, passed away Thursday, June 13th, at the Advent Health Manchester Hospital.
Marvin was born in Hammons Fork, KY on September 21, 1936, a son of the late Amanda (Mills) and Arthur Smith. He was an outdoors man and of the Holiness faith. He loved his family very much.
He is survived by his wife, Pauline Smith, and his two daughters: Marlene Smith and
Darlene Smith, both of Otter Creek.
Marvin is also survived by two sisters, Beulah Gray of Goose Rock and Diana Henson and husband Charles of London; and by five brothers: Arthur Smith, Jr. and wife Flossie of Lockards Creek, Stenson Smith and wife Brenda of London, Taft Ray Smith of Manchester, Denny Smith of Manchester, and Mike Smith and wife Virginia of Manchester.
In addition to his parents, Marvin was preceded in death by his sister, Cassie Gray, and brother-in-laws, Charles Gray and William Gray.
Services will be held at 12:00 PM on Wednesday, June 19th at Britton Funeral Home in Manchester, KY, with Oakley Vaughn, Charles Bright and Paul Mitchell officiating. Pallbearers will be Michael Smith, Michael Austin Smith, Charles Dewayne Henson, Ryan Henson, William Timothy Gray, Andrew Collins, Vernon Smith, John Collins, Mearl James Smith, Jessie Smith, Taft Smith and Denny Smith. Burial will follow at the Smith Cemetery in Manchester.
Visitation will be held 6:00 PM on Tuesday, June 18th at Britton Funeral Home in Manchester, KY.
