Odas Carpenter, 86, of London, KY, passed away Wednesday, January 1st, at the Rockcastle Health and Rehabilitation Center in Brodhead, KY. Odas was born in Manchester, KY on May 1, 1938, a son of the late Boston and Lucy Wagers Carpenter.
Odas is survived by his children: Eugene Carpenter of Crawfish, Johnny Carpenter and wife Barbara of Goose Rock, Jesse Carpenter and wife Anna Paulette of London, Lucille Henson of Manchester, Teresa Bowling and husband Wayne of Manchester, and Lisa Lewis of Manchester.
He is also survived by 18 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, Odas was preceded in death by his daughter-in-law, Ruby Carpenter; and his brother and sisters: Clifford Carpenter, Mary Ellen Roberts, and May Brock.
Services will be held at 3:00 PM on Saturday, January 4th at Heritage Pentecostal Holiness Church in Manchester, KY, with Arthur Bowling and James Davis officiating. Burial will follow at the Brush Harbor Cemetery.
Visitation will be held from 12:00 PM to 3:00 PM on Saturday, January 4th at Heritage Pentecostal Holiness Church.
