Mr. George Lewis Jr, 90, of Sexton Creek passed away on Monday, February 16 2015 at the St. Joseph Hospital in London, Kentucky.
He was born on February 14, 1925 in Los Angeles, California to the union of George Lewis Sr and Lillian Rutherford Lewis. He was a retired welder.
Mr. Lewis is survived by his wife Irene Lewis and the following children; Dwayne Lewis, his wife Judy of Lynchburg Ohio, Dannis Lewis of Island City, Ken Lewis, his wife Claudia of Island City and Regina Peters, her husband Earl of Booneville.
He is also survived by six grandchildren; Angie Taylor, Keith Lewis, Tonya Ellis, Toria Peters, Scotty Neal, and Analee Lewis; Seven great-grandchildren also survive; Eliana Lewis, Natalie Lewis, Wyatt Taylor, Bridgette Peters, Leeann Peters, Aiden Girdler and Lilyann Davis.
He is preceded in death by his parents, George Sr and Lillian Rutherford Lewis.
Funeral services for George Lewis Jr will be held on Saturday, February 21 at 1 PM at the Mt. Olivet Church of Christ at Sexton Creek with Rev. Bernard Ward and Rev. Raymond Tincher officiating. Burial will follow in the Mt. Olivet Cemetery at Sexton Creek.
Visitation will be held on Saturday 10 AM at the Mt. Olivet Church of Christ.
